Improve Medical Vials

I load the five syringes needs daily. They are filled with Novalog(Orange) or Lantus(Purple). The vials are the same size and made of clear glass. The labels have a small colored line to help identify which medicine is which. Very hard to distinguish. The use and dosage the two drugs is VERY different. I went to the local "Five and Dime named Wilsons" and bought orange and purple balloons. I cut the heavy ring that is at inflation holes off the balloons and slid two of them on each vial to help identify which is which. They further serve as a better way to hold the vials as they improve the grip. They are removable and I change them each time a new vial is opened. The manufacture could do more to label these for better identification.

How to check Power Ball tickets quickly.

We won $107.00 last Wednesday, so i rolled that into the normal $100.00 and ended up with 207 Power Ball "Numbers" on 41 tickets. When you buy this many "Numbers" they come out of the machine with five "Numbers" on a ticket. To check the "Numbers" quickly: take the middle winning number, and on a ticket draw a vertical line in the space where the middle winning number would have occurred had you drawn it, and continue the line up or down the ticket in essence cutting the "Numbers" in half. Now you can quickly scan one half of the numbers at a time, and it goes about ten time faster.

Pluggerism...

Well, I finally did it. I got a pluggerism published on 2/21/09 in the Greenville News, not only in Greenville but across the country and up into Canada.

Did a cryptoquote while eating my breakfast of Wheat-A-Bix this morning. I call it a "zero time" solution. I guessed a double letter as I was transferring the puzzle into my magic cryptoquote solver, and by the time I had typed it all in, it was all solved. Not much fun in that.

I had a Sunday Cryptoquote a few weeks back that I messed with for two weeks, and never even came close. Go figure.
